  • Orange.
  • Grapefruit.
  • Lemons.
  • Turmeric powder (4 g).
  • Bee honey (150 g).
  • Water (1 liter).

We recommend getting organic fruits. For this remedy we will also need to use its peelings, since they are very rich in nutrients.

However, if they are not organic, they can contain pesticides, waxes and other chemicals that are harmful to health.

Preparation

To prepare this homemade syrup we will follow the following steps:

  • If we have a blender, we can chop the fruits and beat them together with the water.
  • If we do not have a mixer, it is important to peel them to extract their juice first. You have to reserve the peeling, since we will also cook it.
  • Put everything (juice and peel) in a saucepan and bring to a boil together with the turmeric powder.
  • Add the honey and mix well.
  • Cook uncovered the casserole until the liquid thickens, between 30 and 40 minutes.
  • Let cool and strain.
  • Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

How do we take it?

To increase the defenses it will be enough to take a tablespoon of this remedy, as follows:

  • On an empty stomach.
  • Before eating.
  • Before dinner.

At the first symptoms of an infection we can take a tablespoon every hour. As we feel better we can gradually reduce the tablespoons.

We can also mix them with a little hot water if it is the case of colds or flu.
